Frequently Asked Questions

Care instructions

Most products are made from either a cotton or cotton blend material(s), therefore are wash and dryer safe.

Any item that is the exception to this will have the wash instructions listed in the item's description. A reminder will also be sent with the item for your convenience.

Sizing details

If you've ever shopped for girls/juniors/womens clothes -ever- then you have likely already experience how irrational the sizing systems are.

On Etsy, I try to give a general size letter to help shoppers have an idea how big or small the items are (when applicable of course). But the best way to know if something will fit or not is to measure your waist, as this is the ideal place for these skirts to rest when worn.

How do I measure myself?

The waist is going to be the smallest point of your torso. For some people this is directly under the rib cage, for others it's more like right over the hips. It just depends on how long your torso is.

If you're a really curvy goddess, you may not actually see this point right away. Think about the last pair of high risers you wore, pants or skirt. Where did the belt loops sit on you when wearing that? THAT is where you'll want to measure yourself to see what size you'll need.

**REMEMBER** Cotton does not stretch. If your measuring tape feels uncomfortably tight on yourself, so will my skirts. Measure so that the tape feels comfortable, so the skirt has a chance to feel comfortable.

Should I be worried about no elastic?

Not including elastic was a choice made for a couple of reasons. One of the main reasons was because elastic does break down over time, especially if the garment is washed over and over again. Body heat can also warp it, and suddenly the garment doesn't feel as new any more.

One of the best things about high waisted skirts is that it normally doesn't matter if your weight tends to fluctuate. It normally takes a major weight gain or loss to affect your waist line.

I personally have gained 20 pounds in the year of 2023. I didn't even notice the gain until that early summer when I tried to wear a pair of slacks for the first time in 6 months. I had worn my skirts that whole time and never felt any discomfort. All slacks had to be replaced.
